TRAFFIC JAM introduction: 1. My memory goes back several weeks..... 2. One of the worst traffic congestion, that I have experienced was the one that I experienced ( two months/ years) ago. 1. traffic congestion 2. traffic gridlock 3. it is a legitimate concern 4. it was winter/ summer 5. the temperature was soaring 6. it was freezing cold 7. tempers flared 8. the drivers and passengers 9. we were sweating profusely 10. the air conditioning system 11. could not be switched on 12. the engin was getting overheated 13. our car fuel level was running low 14. we were waiting anxiously to move 15. the car was moving inch by inch 16. It was frustrating 17. It was snowing heavily 18. It lasted four and half hours 19. That is a moment in my life that I do not want to relive 20. our patience was being tested 21. the drivers were honking impatiently 22. the toxic exhaust fumes were filling the air around us 23. it was choking us ntroduction: A show worth talking about is....... A show worth mentioning is ......... My memory goes back..........years/ months. 1. this was organised under the auspices of Ministry of 2. to raise funds for earthquake victims. 3. embarked upon a programme to have a charity show. 4. talent time/ fancy dress/ traditional dances 5. it was a unified approach 6. tedious & time -comsuming planning 7. the day before the event 8. the stage was meticulously prepared 9. fostered the spirit of the community 10. it was community project 11. communal effort 12. flamboyantly decorated 13. merry-making atmosphere 14. the audience was entertained to a variety of items 15. the event was a resounding success 16. the show ended with thunderous applause 17. it was a rare moment 18. it was one of a kind 19. efficient & effective teamwork 20. the perseverance and determination of the organising committee paid off. 21. talented celebrities performed 22. fund-rasing campaign/ show/ project 23. charitable organisation 24. the collection will go towards...
