The Design Museum marks Sir Terence Conran’s 80th birthday with a major exhibition that explores his unique impact on contemporary life in Britain. Through his own design work, and also through his entrepreneurial flair, Conran has transformed the British way of life. The Way We Live Now explores Conran’s impact and legacy, whilst also showing his design approach and inspirations. The exhibition traces his career from post-war austerity through to the new sensibility of the Festival of Britain in the 1950s, the birth of the Independent Group and the Pop Culture of the 1960s, to the design boom of the 1980s and on to the present day.
The exhibition is curated by Stafford Cliff and Deyan Sudjic.

Drawing Tour
Sunday 19 February, 1.30pm
Free with museum entry, no need to book.
This one hour gallery tour will be delivered with a creative twist. Be guided through the exhibition with the opportunity to compile your own sketchbook of drawings responding to the objects in the show. An experienced tour guide will describe the work in the exhibition and a drawing tutor will be at hand to support you through your observational or fantastical sketches. Sketchbooks and materials will be provided.
드로잉 투어!!!
몇주전부터 벼르고 있던 드로잉 투어를 다녀왔다.
디스트릭 라인이 중간에 운행을 멈추는 바람에 2시가 되서야 도착했는데-
운이 좋게도 오히려 1:1 가이드를 받을 수 있었다!
그리고 학생 할인까지 받아서 6파운드에 입장!
학생카드 Expired 되었는데, 해줘서 완젼 기뻤다는.ㅎㅎㅎㅎ
모든 사람들이 작품 앞에서 스케치하는 모습이 너무 인상깊었다.
간혹 보이는 스케치에서 그들의 감성을 느낄 수 있었다.
특히 아이들.
도무지 그런 상상력은 어디서 나오는건지.
나도 많이 그리진 못했지만,
오랜만에 스케치를 하면서 아이디어를 하나 둘씩 러프하게 담아보았다.
날씨가 화창해서 얇게 입고 나왔는데..
아직은 많이 춥다..
감기가 나으려다가 말아버렸어..ㅠㅠ....
